Clearwire, Can Your Internet Provider Do This

ClearWire service might be the most complete service out there - for these reasons:

PC CARD Simple — Plug and play technology. No phone lines, cable service, or cellular service are required. Simple three click installation

Mobile — Internet that you can take with you. Access broadband speeds anywhere in ClearWire's coverage area. Transmits signal through the air — not through wires.

Fast — Surf on the go at broadband speeds.

* Outperforms other leading wireless connections such as EVDO and HSPDA
* Speeds up to 1.5 Mbps download / 256k upload
* Less then 100ms delay (other leading wireless cards have up to 300ms)
* Does not share a crowded voice network

Reliable — Always on, always secure. No waiting for connections, it's their network — they own it, they operate it.

Affordable - Only the Internet speed is high, not the price.

Compatible —The Clearwire PC Card works with most laptops on the market today. The ClearWire pc card currently requires a Type II/Cardbus PCMCIA card slot. The ClearWire pc card works with Windows XP and Vista operating systems.

Online Account Management — Manage your account the simple way — online. Just log on - You can update your profile, check billing, and add features and accessories. Plus, you can upgrade your plan, manage your website, set up a network, manage your Clearwire Digital Voice Service and access online chat for help. You'll find managing your Clearwire account online is designed to be super easy.

Email — Keep in touch with ClearWire email. ClearWire gives you several email accounts that you can personalize and manage online. Check email on the Web from anywhere in the world or use your favorite email program. Your service includes anti-spam protection and ClearWire plans offer from 3 to 8 email addresses depending upon the plan you choose. You can also purchase additional email addresses with any plan.

IP Address — Get support for gaming and remote access. An IP address is a number assigned to your computer that identifies it on the internet. You might need a static IP address if you plan to use remote management software like PC Anywhere, Remote Management, or Terminal Server. Some VPN connections also require a static IP address.

Hardware Protection Program — Extended protection for your modem or pc card. Fast, reliable Internet service should not be interrupted by equipment issues. The ClearWire Hardware Protection Program (HPP) provides protection and replacement of your HPP-covered Clearwire pc card and/or modem should your Clearwire pc card or modem experience:

* Accidental damage due to handling or power surge
* Defect in material or workmanship, or failure due to normal wear and tear...a replacement will typically be provided to you within 48 hours.

Can coax internet go anywhere coax tv goes?
Hey there, I was wondering if I can get cable internet through coax cable tv from the cable company? The reason I am asking is I am searching for a better internet than Sprint broadband. I had cable tv through coax cable up to my house and used it until I switched to Dish 10 years ago. However every cable company that is in my area that sells coax cable internet says I am "unserviceable." I only live 3/4 of a mile out of town, is that too far for coax cable internet? Or is it because I haven't used the cable service for over a decade now? Thanks ahead of time for any information! - Braden
